Life Insurance+
Life insurance+ is like a puzzle, from the pieces of which you can put together your sense of security. You decide which pieces you put together to form your life insurance covers.
Life insurance
Life is unpredictable, and no one is safe from illnesses and accidents. The purpose of insurance is to provide financial support to you and your family, should you ever encounter a serious health disorder, accident or death. Life insurance is especially important if you have financial obligations and there may not be enough savings for an unexpected situation.
You can take out life insurance up to the age of 75, and indemnities are paid in the event of illness or accidental death.
One contract for the whole family
You can insure the whole family – spouse or partner as well as children – with one contract. You can insure your child from their birth.
Wide selection of insurance covers
It is up to you to decide which insurance covers are important to you and your family. Create a contract that meets your needs.
Cover against up to 38 critical illnesses
For illness insurance, you can choose to insure against cancer and three critical illnesses, or cancer and 38 of the most common critical illnesses.
Life insurance contract for children
You can add critical illness cover to your child’s life insurance as soon as they are two years old. The list includes 14 of the most common critical illnesses.

Life insurance
Insuring your life shows that you care about the future of yourself and your loved ones. Insuring your life is one way to ensure financial security for your loved ones and help your family members to better cope with everyday worries in a situation where you no longer exist.
You can take out life insurance up to the age of 75, and indemnities are paid in the event of illness or accidental death.
Insurance against cancer and up to 38 critical illnesses
Critical illness insurance provides financial support to you and your family in a situation where all the strength goes into fighting a serious illness.
For critical illness insurance, you can choose to insure against cancer and 3 critical illnesses, or cancer and 38 of the most common critical illnesses. The insurance cover also extends to children. You can conclude a contract between the ages of 18 and 64 and the sum insured can be up to EUR 300,000. The waiting time is 6 months for cancer insurance and 3 months for critical illness insurance.
Critical illness insurance for children
A parent’s greatest wish is to protect their child from all the worries of the world. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, but a life insurance contract allows you to focus on what is important and support the child during recovery.
The list of children’s critical illnesses includes 14 of the most common critical illnesses, and you can take out the insurance for children aged between 2 and 17 for the sum insured of up to EUR 100,000. The waiting time is 3 months.
No work ability insurance
Life is full of the unexpected. Insurance provides financial support in a situation where your ability to work and thus your income is reduced due to a health problem. Insurance comes to the rescue if incapacity for work is determined for at least 12 consecutive months and is caused by illness or bodily injury.
You can conclude a contract between the ages of 18 and 64, and the sum insured can be up to 4 years’ salary. The waiting time is 6 months, except in case of an accident.
Daily hospital allowance insurance
ERGO daily hospital allowance insurance allows you to calmly focus on recovery in the hospital.
An insured event is a continuous hospital stay of at least 24 hours for medically justified treatment. The daily hospital allowance is paid up to 182 days a year. The waiting time is 60 days, except in case of an accident.
Accident insurance in Life Insurance+ policy
With accident insurance, you can choose insurance cover for disability indemnity (permanent disability), death indemnity, trauma indemnity, daily allowance, and supplementary medical assistance.

How to choose the sum insured?
We recommend choosing the sum insured as your income for 1–3 years, so that it covers the financial obligations and expenses of at least 1–3 years. This is the period during which the most important thing to recover from the illness is to receive timely and adequate rehabilitation. It also enables the family to adjust to the new circumstances and to make future decisions. If you wish, you can increase the sum insured by your existing obligations, so they will not be borne by you or your loved ones after an illness. Choose a sum insured, the payments of which are affordable for you, because in a difficult situation, any financial support will help.
Example: Maie, 55-year-old woman
Maie’s children have already moved out of the house, so after the working day she still has a plenty of time to enjoy life with her husband: to go to the theatre, to travel, to spend time with friends. They have a nice house in the suburbs, on which they are still making loan payments. In addition, they both need two cars to commute to work, as public transport would take too long.
Maie took out life insurance for her peace of mind, because she does not want her children to have to worry if something happens to her health. She knows firsthand how difficult it is to work and at the same time care for a sick mother. Therefore, her life insurance contract includes covers against cancer and critical illnesses, as well as insurance for no work ability.
Maie’s life insurance contract includes the following covers, sums insured, and prices:
Cover | Sum insured | Monthly payment |
Life insurance cover | 20 000€ | 15,38€ per month |
Protection against cancer and 38 critical illnesses | 20 000€ | 55,93€ per month |
No work ability cover | 40 000€ | 7,57€ per month |
Total | - | 78,88€ per month |
Example: Raul, 45-year-old man
Raul is a man who can think ahead. Good times in business have allowed him to buy a couple of apartments, which he now rents out. He also has a good job in a successful large company. Raul decided to take out life insurance, because he hears and reads here and there how men his age have suffered health problems.
Of course, he regularly has his health checked, but it is good to know that if necessary, he can 100% focus on his improvement, stay away from work for a while, and not have to think about selling his real estate. He already has an accident insurance contract, because he loves to engage in sports. However, other important covers were included in the life insurance contract.
Raul’s life insurance contract includes the following covers, sums insured, and prices:
Cover | Sum insured | Monthly payment |
Life insurance cover | 5000€ | 1,98€ per month |
Protection against cancer and 38 critical illnesses | 30 000€ | 34,18€ per month |
No work ability cover | 70 000€ | 5,48€ per month |
Hospital allowance | 50€ per day | 4,17€ per month |
Total | - | 45,81€ per month |
Example: Airi, 25-year-old woman
Airi loves her home and family. She and her partner have a home loan to pay and they have two children of kindergarten age. Airi started thinking about life insurance primarily because in the event of a possible illness, their shared home would be preserved, where their children could continue to grow up. She does have a common wallet with her partner, but they both have to contribute to cope with the costs.
There have been cases of cancer in Airi’s family, so she knows how long and complicated the treatment process can be. Cancer insurance cover extends to children with the ERGO life insurance contract. Accidents will happen when actively spending time with children, so Airi flexibly put together a complete picture that gives her peace of mind. She also provided life insurance cover, critical illness cover, and accident cover for her children with a family policy.
Airi’s life insurance contract includes the following covers, sums insured, and prices:
Cover | Sum insured | Monthly payment |
Life insurance cover | 30 000€ | 3,83€ per month |
Protection against cancer and 38 critical illnesses | 30 000€ | 5,85€ per month |
No work ability cover | 70 000€ | 3,15€ per month |
Hospital allowance | 20€ per day | 1,67€ per month |
Accident covers: | - | 12,73€ per month |
Disability indemnity | 60 000€
Trauma indemnity | 15 000€
Hospital allowance | 20€ per day
Total | - | 27,23€ per month |
