Life is full of the unexpected. Should an accident happen to you, accident insurance will come to the rescue. With accident insurance, we pay indemnity for pain and suffering in the case of minor injuries as well as permanent damage to health.

Medical expenses
We will indemnify the medical treatment expenses incurred as a result of an accident. For example, if you fall and chip your tooth, require rehabilitation or technical aids (such as crutches, joint braces, etc.).
Maintain your income
We will cover the part of the daily salary that is not paid by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund or your employer. In this way, you will maintain your regular income.
Help in case of permanent damage to health
Permanent disability indemnity helps if large expenses have to be incurred due to permanent damage to health as a result of an accident. For example, your home needs to be rebuilt.

What does accident insurance indemnify?
Permanent disability indemnity
We will pay indemnity if the injury does not heal within one year. The severity and character of the disability assigned to the insured person is taken into account, not their profession, hobbies or way of life.
Death indemnity
The indemnity is paid if the insured person dies within three (3) years as a result of an insured event caused by an accident.
Medical expenses
The indemnity covers reasonable and justified medical treatment expenses incurred as a result of an accident, which are not reimbursed by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund.
Medical expenses+
The indemnity covers reasonable and justified costs of paid medical services resulting from an insured event. The „Medical expenses+“ type of indemnity can only be selected in combination with the “Medical Expenses” indemnity type.
Daily allowance
The daily allowance indemnifies you for the loss of income for each day of treatment while the certificate of incapacity for work applies, regardless of whether it is treatment in a hospital or at home. To be eligible, treatment should last at least seven (7) days.
Trauma benefit
Trauma benefit is paid once in the case of temporary damage to health lasting at least seven (7) days.

Competitive sports insurance
In competitive sports and its training, the insurance cover is valid only if there is additional cover for competitive sports. The goal of competitive sports is to compete in public competition in series, cup, and league competitions, Estonian championships, and international competitions.
As an exception to competitive sports, the insurance cover is valid without special agreement also to participation in public sports events of walking, running or cross-country skiing (e.g. Tartu Marathon, Maijooks (Women's Run), Tallinn Marathon).
High-risk profession cover
When working in a high-risk profession, accident insurance is valid only if there is appropriate additional cover.
High-risk professions are the following:
- car, lorry and bus driver,
- construction worker,
- electrician,
- metal worker (e.g. welder, turner),
- farmer, farm worker, livestock farmer,
- forest worker, arborist,
- mechanic,
- timber processor (including joiner, carpenter),
- operational staff (including police officer, assistant police officer, rescue worker, firefighter, ambulance worker, etc.),
- chimney sweeper or other occupations at great heights,
- diver,
- miner or other mining worker,
- professional athlete,
- ship crew member,
- border guard,
- security guard, cash-in-transit guard,
- prison guard,
- stunt performer, circus performer,
- explosives handler (e.g. EOD technician),
- crude oil producer (e.g. on an oil rig).
