Payment for the healthcare insurance services
Voluntary health insurance gives you the opportunity to receive prompt medical care, visit a dentist, and use other paid medical services, the costs of which are reimbursed by the insurer in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract.
We would like to inform you that, starting from 1 January 2026, the claims handling procedure for private individuals’ health insurance will change.
As of 1 January 2026, you will need to pay for medical services yourself first and then submit a reimbursement claim via the ERGO mobile app or through our website. Once the claim has been processed, the costs will be reimbursed according to the terms of your insurance contract.
If the planned medical treatment at a healthcare institution amounts to at least 300 EUR, you may request a guarantee letter from ERGO to confirm payment. To apply for a guarantee letter, please contact us at ravi@ergo.ee.
As an ERGO health insurance customer, you also have access to the Meliva Digital Clinic, where primary care physicians are available in real time seven days a week. The use of the Digital Clinic is free of deductible for you.

What to do if you need medical attention?
Choose a health care provider
Contact the medical institution, recommended by ERGO or suitable for you. Any planned inpatient treatment should be coordinated with ERGO beforehand.
Payment for medical services
You should pay for the treatment services first yourself and then submit a claim for compensation to ERGO. If the medical expenses planned in a medical institution exceed 300 euros, a letter of guarantee can be requested from ERGO to confirm the payment. To request a letter of guarantee, send an email to ravi@ergo.ee.
Application for indemnity
Submit a claim for reimbursement to ERGO via the ERGO mobile app or on the ERGO website.
Supporting documents for an application for indemnity
ERGO will send you a notification about the need for clarifications or additional documents by email.
Indemnity decision
ERGO will make an indemnity decision within 10 working days of receiving the necessary documents. The indemnity decision will be sent to your email address. If you have any questions related to the indemnity decision, please send an email to ravi@ergo.ee.
