Deductible discount

The deductible discount of EUR 100 may be used in the case of a motor hull insurance and home insurance loss. In the case of legal protection insurance, the minimum amount of a damage claim will be reduced from 200 euros to 100 euros. The deductible discount does not apply in the case of all-risk losses involving pets and smart devices under home insurance.

To receive the discount, you will need to have at least three different insurance products with ERGO, which have been concluded for a period of one year. The following types of private client insurance are included: motor hull insurance, home insurance, motor third party liability insurance (excluding a trailer), accident insurance, legal protection insurance, and multi-trip travel insurance (annual travel insurance).

Not in this case, because in order to qualify for the deductible discount, you need to have three different insurance products with ERGO – for example, motor hull insurance, motor third party liability insurance (excluding a trailer), and home insurance. It is important that policies must be taken out for at least a year.

It will not, since all three policies must be concluded in the name of the same person. If you switch the contract in the name of your spouse to your name, the deductible discount will then apply.

Not in this case. In order to qualify for the deductible discount, you must have at least three different annual insurance policies with ERGO at the time of the loss event.

Valid for losses incurred as of 1 February 2021 

1. The deductible discount is for private policyholders. A natural person is considered to be a private person.

2. The deductible discount is applied in case of damage in home insurance, including third party liability insurance and motor hull insurance.

3. Deductible discount means that the deductible selected in the insurance contract is reduced by EUR 100. If the deductible chosen in the insurance contract is EUR 100 or less, then in the event of an insured event, the deductible is not applied (the deductible is EUR 0).

4. The deductible discount cannot be withdrawn in cash or transferred to another person.

5. The deductible discount applies to each insured event.

6. The deductible discount is applied if, at the time of the occurrence of the loss event, the private policyholder has at least three years of a contract of a different type of insurance in force with ERGO. The following types of insurance are taken into account: 

    a. Motor hull insurance (vehicle insurance) 
    b. Home insurance 
    c. Motor third party liability insurance (except for trailer) 
    d. Accident insurance 
    e. Legal assistance insurance 
    f. Multi-trip travel insurance 

7. Where a policyholder has more than one contract in one of the classes referred to in clause 6, they will be deemed to be a single insurance contract.

8. The deductible discount is valid regardless of where or through whom the insurance contract is concluded (ERGO client service, ERGO e-office, insurance broker, insurance agent).

9. The insurance contract is considered to be annual if the insurance period is at least 365 days.

10. The deductible discount does not apply in the case of all-risk losses involving pets and smart devices under home insurance.

11. ERGO has the right to change the rules of the deductible discount, as well as to terminate the application of the deductible discount. Clients will be notified of the change or termination of the deductible discount rules on the website at www.ergo.ee.
